Before the Hidden Ethnic Initiative officially launched in 2022, Frontier Harvest Ministries—already seasoned with 37 years of church planting across East Asia—began laying the groundwork through exploratory journeys into some of the most remote and culturally complex regions of the continent.

From 2022 to the end of 2025, FHM's Pioneering teams journeyed across vast provinces, traveling more than 60,000 kilometers through rugged, remote terrain. Their mission was clear: to locate the last remaining unengaged ethnic groups scattered throughout East Asia—people with no known Gospel witness—and to establish Homes of Peace among each group.

HOMES OF PEACE & LASTING RELATIONSHIPS
As teams traveled, God opened doors into the homes and hearts of people who had never heard the name of Jesus.

Several “families & people of peace” emerged—key relational anchors for future Gospel work.
Jesus instructed His disciples in Matthew 10:
“Whatever town or village you enter, search for someone worthy and stay at their house until you leave. As you enter the home, give it your greeting. If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.”

This is what we call a home of peace, and it is exactly what our teams seek each time they are sent out. Every home or person found becomes a potential seedbed for a future church plant.

These homes now serve as strategic points of re-entry, enabling our teams to return regularly, deepen relationships, and build upon the foundation first established.
Over time, these same locations will serve as future hubs for:
